Now Hiring: Network Engineer
The Human Fusions Institute (HFI) at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a full-time Network Engineer to support the advancement of NeuroReality, a groundbreaking platform designed to enable real-time, multisensory communication between humans and machines.
The successful candidate will work with a team of interdisciplinary researchers focused on building the technical architecture that allows seamless interaction between the human nervous system and edge devices, both locally and across long distances. This position is a key role in a collaborative effort to establish a new standard for human-machine interfaces.
This role requires expertise in network and network-to-hardware protocol development, immersive systems integration, and cross-platform software development. Responsibilities include building and maintaining software interfaces, APIs, and server-based platforms, as well as contributing to collaborative system design and implementation with HFI’s academic and commercial partners.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of professional engineering experience and a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, and GO is required, along with experience in immersive VR/AR/MR systems, network communication protocols (e.g., Fast DDS, WebRTC), and API development.
