Immediate Openings: R&D Engineer Positions in Remote Embodiment
The Biomechatronics Lab at UCLA is hiring two R&D Engineers with robotics experience to join our cutting-edge research team immediately. You will work on tactile-driven robot experiments and develop shared autonomy, human-robot systems with visuotactile feedback.
Minimum Requirements:
- M.S. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; B.S. considered with extensive experience
- Hands-on experience with real robot hardware
- Strong project management and technical communication skills
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, ROS, and machine learning algorithms
- Experience in CAD-based design and circuit prototyping
Preferred Competencies:
- Real-time sensory feedback-driven controllers for robots
- Machine learning and computer vision
- Multimodal sensor data processing
- Tactile sensor technology and wearable visuotactile display development
- Human-machine interfaces and shared autonomy systems
Positions are for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.
